Party Planning
It seems a bit strange to some that one be told how to plan and have a party, but if you are looking for guidance on throwing a wine and chocolate tasting party, you will be hard pressed to find instructions more detailed than Conduct Your Own Chocolate Tasting.
We thought we would point this article out, because our plan is quite boring:
1) Get chocolate.
2) Get wine.
3) Optional--Invite friends.
4) Eat, drink and be merry.
Again, for those looking for more detailed instructions, refer to the aforementioned article.

Have a Great '08!
Good wine. Good chocolate. The opportunity to enjoy both with friends and alone. Sounds like a great '08!
BTW: A good champagne? Is there such a thing? You cannot drink champagne with the same gusto and satisfaction as wine without the bubbles, but there must be something worth an occasional special toast... We should add that to the to do list in '09; finding a good wine.

Shiraz
Yes, dark chocolate (60%cocoa or better) and shiraz. Nice combo, if you are into flavor. Nice combo.
